Offensive Tools
- Attack: Basic weapon strike

Defensive Tools
- Dash: Invincibility frames during the dash animation
- Positioning: Don’t stand still. Circle enemies constantly.
Dash has i-frames. Time your dashes through attacks rather than away from them. Dashing into an enemy’s swing instead of retreating keeps you in range to punish their recovery.
Understanding Boons
Boons are temporary power-ups from Olympian gods that last one run. They’re the biggest factor in how strong any given run feels.
Boon Types
- Attack Boons: Modify your basic attack
- Special Boons: Modify your special ability
- Grasp Boons: Modify your Ω ability
- Dash Boons: Add effects to your dash
- Passive Boons: General stat boosts
Rarity and Synergy
Rarity goes Common → Rare → Epic → Heroic → Legendary. Higher rarity means stronger effects, but a Common boon that synergizes with your build beats a random Epic every time.

Gathering Tools
Unlock the pickaxe and fishing rod through Incantations early. Both let you collect extra resources during runs that you’d otherwise walk past. The fishing rod in particular gives access to ingredients you can’t get any other way.
Incantations
Incantations are permanent unlocks crafted at the Crossroads cauldron. They’re the primary way you make the game easier over time.
Priority Incantations
- Unlock additional weapons
- Unlock gathering tools (pickaxe, fishing rod)
- Unlock new areas and paths
- Increase starting resources
Check the cauldron after every run. New Incantations unlock as you progress the story and gather materials, and it’s easy to miss that something new is available.
Pro Tips
- Talk to everyone. Story and unlocks come from NPC conversations. Gift Nectar to characters you like for keepsakes that boost your runs.
- Gather every run. Even if you’re about to die, grab resources first. They carry over.
- Experiment with weapons. Each plays differently. The Witch’s Staff is balanced, but Sister Blades reward aggressive players and the Moonstone Axe hits like a truck.
- Read boon descriptions carefully. Understanding what synergizes saves you from picking boons that work against each other.
- Use the training dummy. Test weapons and combos at the Crossroads before committing to a run.
- Don’t force builds. Adapt to what the run offers. Stubbornly waiting for Zeus boons when Demeter is handing you everything is a recipe for a weak run.
- Sprint costs stamina. Save it for repositioning during boss fights rather than using it to cross empty rooms faster.
